I can tell you that most of the nearly 100 ranch families involved in Country Natural Beef are God fearing people who enjoy church services and a nice Sunday afternoon as much as anyone. But the responsibilities of caring for animals outweigh thoughts of leisure or taking the day off.. The fact of the matter is that running a ranch is a 24/7, 365 day a year proposition. During the winter months feeding must be done every day regardless of the temperature or weather conditions. There are always chores to be done: fences to mend, water to manage, and equipment to be maintained. Even on Sunday's.
Attending church or taking a family picnic might actually require more work. Getting up a few hours earlier to do the feeding, making sure that all are safe and sound. Ranching was never meant to be easy, but those that do it wouldn't trade it for anything.
I want to say thank you to all of you who work so hard to produce such a great product, so that I can put a high quality meal on my table on a Sunday afternoon!
