Despite the water, the cows look good. All slicked up and the calves are growing. The middle and upper spring range look really, really good. I think it looks better than last year. We did get some spring rain at the right time this year.
Our feedlot is getting lighter by the day. Only around 160 left. Looks like they will be shipping out by the first of June, just in time for the green chopping to start. Wow, I didn’t even realize how things seem to never stop around here.
Activated our cow camp, everything wintered well except our shower leaked all over the bedroom floor. Had to tear it out, so why not gut the whole thing, right? Really just replacing the shower and vanity, floor was already done a couple of years ago.
On a bad note, I blew out my right knee, probably tore the ligaments. Had my MRI done yesterday, but won’t find out the results until next Wednesday. I really hurt and when I complained and said whine, whine, whine, a friend of mine said no really it should be wine, wine, wine. Hmm, maybe I should take his advice.
Keeping my chin up and moving forward.
