Eric and Melissa Bringhurst
Bringhurst cattle co was started in 2008-2009. We bought a ranch as an investment and started with 55 pairs of angus cattle, today we run around 1100 head of mixed breed cows. Some of our challenges in colorado have been altitude sickness (brisket disease) which forced us to run smaller frame more efficient cattle. We now run a lot of Corriente and Longhorn type cows with Bulls being Charolais, Tarentaise, Horned Hereford, Beefmaster and a few Red Angus. The calves are never the biggest ones around but since changing genetics we rarely have issues with sickness. All of this helps us provide the consumer with drug free cattle raised in natures way. Our kids get some great experiences traveling and working on various ranches that we operate. We enjoy being a part of CNB as we feel they help us produce and market a premium product produced in a sustainable manner. We look forward to a bright future in ranching and hope the experiences taught to our children will help them seek their own dreams and freedoms. We love being in Colorado and most of all America!
