Bill and Dana Milton
Milton Ranch runs 450 Angus cow/calf pairs on 15,000 acres of rolling prairie in central Montana. Our priority has always been a healthy relationship between our land and our cattle while providing a rewarding way of life for our family.
We bought the foundation of our ranch in 1978 and in 1981 with Bill’s brother, Max Milton, we were able to expand the ranch. The early years brought a great deal of trial and error but with the support of friends and family, Milton Ranch became our home and Roundup, Montana became our community.
As the years flew by, the health of our land and cattle remained a top priority. We began establishing partnerships with people and organizations with similar goals, such as Country Natural Beef. As those relationships grew, so did the health of our land and our cattle.
After more than thirty years on our ranch, we continue to improve the health of our land and cattle. With succession on the horizon, it is clear that the values our family has learned while growing up on the ranch have had a significant impact. Our children grown and as our grandchildren visit the ranch often we continue to see the great importance of this piece of land in central Montana. As we move forward, we hope to maintain our symbiotic relationship between our land, animals and family.

Casey and Lacey Coulter
Four generations ago, Lawrence Swanser homesteaded on the edge of the rugged Montana Badlands. That ranch has stayed in our family and grown for over 100 years. We are honored to continue the family legacy and call that ranch our home.
We are a family of 4 who take our responsibility of providing high quality nutrition and enriching natural resources very seriously. Before heading home to the ranch in 2010, Casey graduated from Montana State University and spent 7 years experiencing life while working in the agriculture and financial fields. Lacey is an unlikely rancher who had big city dreams until she met Casey in 2011 while working as a traveling speech-language pathologist. As a partnership, we draw from different experiences and apply different perspectives to every ranch (and life!) decision. We welcomed Garrett in 2015 and Poppy in 2017. Life keeps getting better and better!

We are the fourth generation ranchers on Matt’s family ranch. We believe in sustainable, natural ranching. We have three children ages 14, 10, and 7 who are all involved on the ranch. We enjoy being an active family, following our kids and their activities, camping, and working cattle together.
